NOT-QUITE-FULL MOON OVER THE CAMPGROUND and THE PANORAMIC OVERLOOK TRAIL

The evenings here are gorgeous. At about 5 p.m., the sun dips below the ridge of the San Ysidro Mountains and the afternoon breezes continue, making a perfect temperature for sitting outside. Now with the moon waxing toward full, it rises early above the opposite ridge over the resort town of Borrego Springs.

Today we hiked The Panoramic Overlook Trail, about a mile round trip, but mostly steep with lots of switchbacks. I can't do anything near justice to the panorama vistas, but here are a couple of shots from the top of the ridge:
