SPRING CANYON STATE PARK

Just a couple of miles from Rockhound State Park is Spring Canyon State Park, which has picnic tables, shade ramadas, and a couple of short hikes. We did one of the hikes (Lover's Leap Outlook - which was a big flat rock that overlooked a huge heart-shaped boulder and a deep, craggy part of the canyon/ravine) and then continued up the canyon to the crest of the mountain, where we looked down from the top and could see for miles to the west!

Same thistle, closer up
